The design of Dresden’s new tram intends to expand the acceptance of public transport in Saxony's capital.

The smooth and evolutionary exterior design of the "NGT DX DD" series aims to strengthen the city’s brand identity. The interior is specifically tailored to contemporary mobility needs. Widened by 35 cm, the carbody allows for optimized passenger flow. Generous multifunctional areas provide ample free space for people with mobility impairments and, where designated, for bicycles and e-scooters. Features such as air conditioning, Wi-Fi, USB ports and adaptive lighting ensure a modern and comfortable travel experience.

The interior is strikingly open with quality design features such as new pictograms and fabrics and stunning panorama windows. It caters to the needs of young families as well as visiting tourists by offering plenty of room, low handrails, and splendid views.
