The NBS 400 Emergency Switch was part of the design development of the NF8U vehicle for Rheinbahn AG, Düsseldorf. The switch has the same interface as previous versions and is thus easily installed in existing vehicles. In order to prevent abuse, the retaining screws are only accessible when the switch has been activated. The NBS400 has been awarded with the iF gold design award 2007.
