Busses – Corporate Identity & Color-Material-Finish

Various Clients

Public transport has become more and more intermodal. Customers, transport associations and operators are therefore striving to establish a corporate identity across all vehicles and to enforce their own standards in terms of quality, comfort, equipment and passenger information.

For the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, a corporate design for regional transport was developed over 12 years ago. The design includes the exterior and interior of the vehicles, an independent design of the upholstery fabrics as well as uniform pictograms, inscriptions, infographics and displays. The implementation was initially carried out for regional trains, and since 2016 also for intercity buses (approx. 25 bus types from 6 manufacturers) in the VRT, RNN and VRN transport associations.

Rheinbahn, the fifth largest local transport company in Germany, has implemented the corporate design in a similarly consistent manner - also for their buses (VDL, MAN, Caetano). With the development of the HF6, Rheinbahn has revised and standardised the interior of its vehicle fleet. The exterior design of the vehicles has remained almost unchanged since the end of the 1990s and is characteristic of the company.
